For the wild at heart!
REMODELED July 2013, The second floor Totem room celebrates Native American Indians, the first residents of the great North Woods of Maine. Large double windows offer grand views of legendary Moosehead Lake, unspoiled forest and mountains. The four posters on the queen-sized bed are hand-carved totem poles depicting eagles, beaver, ravens and a bear with a fish. A large “dream catcher” hangs at the head of your bed. According to Indian lore, nightmares pass through the holes and out the window. But good dreams are trapped in the web, and then slide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. A large gas fireplace is faced with hundred year-old, virgin forest, reclaimed lumber. Amenities include 39” flat screen T.V. and DVD player.
Oversized leather chair with ottoman folds out for a 3 rd person if needed or to snuggle by the fire. Room is complete with a private bath, bathtub/shower combination and built in compact refrigerator.
