Guests enjoy the cracking fire overlooking Moosehead Lake from the great expansive yard at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. This is becoming a regular on cool Maine evenings and a great way to meet other guests, talk about the day and share experiences.

The Katahdin Suite – often called the most romantic room at the Lodge has a newly remodeled bathroom complete with tile floor, enlarged tile shower with rain shower head, tiled double jacuzzi-style tub and double vanity. This vanity is a piece of art and not to be found anywhere else. The vanity is made from rustic wood found on the property and finished with real copper top. Notice the birch wood door inserts. The middle section, that looks like 3 drawers is actually a compact refrigerator. And don’t forget the bathroom fireplace…what a treat.

Two travel writers from “Alright, I’m Wrong” spent a day and evening at the Lodge this week. They were from the southern Maine, Portsmouth, NH area. Here is their review of the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. We couldn’t of asked for more, except maybe let us know they were going to take “our” picture, too. Enjoy the article.

It was a full house for dinner at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. Guests were treated to a 5-course dinner prepared by Chef Jack. Featured were our famous Maine Peekytoe Crab Cakes and our very own Moosehead Lake Lobster Bake including grilled Maine Lobster with Rope Grown Mussels in a Creamy Corn Fumet over Mac & Cheese. And of course, there was chocolate! It was a beautiful way to celebrate the love of your life, just be sure your table is reserved early for 2010. Lodging guests came back to their rooms to find, hand dipped chocolate strawberries before retiring for the evening.
