Thursday, April 30th, 2009Keeping our wine list current and enjoyable requires ongoing maintenance. Dennis and Linda attended a wine tasting sponsored by our distributor in Bar Harbor. As Dennis says, “This is a tough job, but someone has to do it.” We were looking for a great Sauvignon Blanc and less oak Chardonnay based on guests requests.

New snow at the Lodge as of 8:00 am this morning. About 20 inches on the ground now.
It’s now noon and we are still digging out only to learn more coming this afternoon. We have guests to leave and guests coming in tomorrow. What a winter wonderland in Maine.
Winter Maintenance
Friday, February 20th, 2009After over 8 inches of snow yesterday, Robert McGee, the Maintenance Manager at the Lodge, is here bright and early to be sure all paths are shoveled and the drive way is clear for guests to easily come and go. Robert has worked at the Lodge for more than 10 years. He works hard to be sure the grounds are beautiful winter or summer and that every guest is happy We “love” Robert.
Chloe Adds to Relaxation at Lodge
Saturday, November 8th, 2008Chloe, the Lodge French Bulldog, takes her job seriously. Guests often come to the Lodge to relax and enjoy the great views of Moosehead Lake. Chloe is here to help. She knows they miss their dogs. She is always the first to greet a new guest and provides special affection that only Chloe can do.
