Dining Schedule at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake

This season, we have changed the Lodge dining schedule.  We serve dinner only in the Lakeview Dining Room to our lodging guests and we accept a limited number of  reservations from the public.  This has allowed us to focus on providing a premium dining experience.  The menu is Ala Carte and focuses on Up North Cuisine, casual, warm and comfortable, like the Lodge itself.  When weather permits, we also serve on the deck under the stars.  Chloe’s Pub is not open to the public but remains available to lodging guests along with the newly constructed fire pit.  Around the fire pit, guests can order a “Smores” kit, enjoy an outdoor wood fire and watch the stars dazzle against a black sky.

Launch New Website

It was time to update the website. We wanted something unique, like the property itself, and we think we got it.  We were able to combine video and photo sequencing to create a distinctive first impression. From our own research, we knew what was the most important to guests and that’s where our priorities started. Even online reservations changed.  It’s now real-time like all the big hotels. Snowmobiling from the Lodge at Moosehead Lake

We have more than 18″ of new snow and many of the trails are open.  This could be you.  Take a ride from the lodge; we have easy access to the ITS and we are serving great winter suppers in Chloe’s pub on Friday & Saturday nights.  Enjoy a casual and social evening while dining on Hearty Chili Con Carne, Buffalo Short Rib Pie, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and even Crispy Crumb Coated Macaroni and Cheese Balls and don’t forget a signature Moosapolitan Martini.  See you soon.

More Snow at Moosehead

Yesterday, almost 10″ of snow came to the Lodge at Moosehead Lake.  Here is our view this morning from the Lodge.  Are you thinking about your winter getaway?  Look for the new winter suppers the Lodge will be offering.  Have a wonderful day relaxing in the great outdoors and then enjoy a cozy winter evening in Chloe’s Pub with suppers featuring Up North Cuisine.

Garden Flowers Adorn Tables at Lodge at Moosehead Lake

Fresh cut flowers from the Lodge gardens adorn the commons areas and dining room tables.  Flowers include peonies, oriental lilies, sedum, callilepis, daisy, Russian comfrey, delphinium, iris, foxglove, globe thistle, cornflower, aster, lupine and many others.

Lodge at Moosehead Lake Opens for Dinner Service

The Lodge opened for dinner service last night and is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Columbus Day weekend in mid-October.  Chef Abby Freethy kicks off the season with her Maine Lobster, Parsnip and Asparagus Dumplings, Grilled Filet of Beef, Crayfish & Spinach Stuffed Native Trout and many other Up North specialties.  Here Chef Abby is finishing off her Classic 3-layer chocolate cake, a great ending to any meal.  Be sure to make your reservations by calling 207-695-4400 soon.
