New snow at the Lodge as of 8:00 am this morning. About 20 inches on the ground now.

Friday, February 20th, 2009

After over 8 inches of snow yesterday, Robert McGee, the Maintenance Manager at the Lodge, is here bright and early to be sure all paths are shoveled and the drive way is clear for guests to easily come and go. Robert has worked at the Lodge for more than 10 years. He works hard to be sure the grounds are beautiful winter or summer and that every guest is happy We “love” Robert.

Valentine’s Day Dinner

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

It was a full house for dinner at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. Guests were treated to a 5-course dinner prepared by Chef Jack. Featured were our famous Maine Peekytoe Crab Cakes and our very own Moosehead Lake Lobster Bake including grilled Maine Lobster with Rope Grown Mussels in a Creamy Corn Fumet over Mac & Cheese. And of course, there was chocolate! It was a beautiful way to celebrate the love of your life, just be sure your table is reserved early for 2010. Lodging guests came back to their rooms to find, hand dipped chocolate strawberries before retiring for the evening.
