The Lodge at Moosehead Lake's Pet Policy:
The Lodge understands how wonderful it is to share a Moosehead vacation with your canine companion. That's why we have taken the Allagash, one of our Carriage House suites and made it "dog friendly". We are dog lovers ourselves and proud owners of a registered French Bulldog…Chloe.
We therefore happily allow you to share with your canine companion the creature comforts of the Allagash guest suite with a few considerations:
1. Dogs must present the Lodge with a health certificate from their veterinarian stating that they are up-to date with their shots and are healthy no more than 10 days prior to arrival.
2. All dogs must be washed and on flea medication.
3. All dogs incur a $40.00 per night charge. They will receive a dog bed, bowls for food and water along with doggie treats. No dogs on the bed or furniture please...
4. With respect to other lodging guests, dogs are not permitted in the Main Lodge.
5. When outside of their guest room on the Lodge property, dogs must be on a leash and owners must clean up after them. Our doggie area is not in the gardens but in the field behind the lodge. (The dumpster is located behind the carriage house in the parking lot) We have provided dog towels in the event they need to be dried off or wiped down before entering the room.
6. When left in their room alone, your dog must be crated. We reserve the right to refuse daily housekeeping or turndown service to rooms in which a dog is left loose.
7. In addition to the nightly charge, a $200 pet security deposit is required upon arrival. This deposit is refundable at the time of departure barring any unintentional property damage, "accidents" noise complaints, or disobedience of our leash law. Should your dog seriously damage an item of Lodge property, you will be charged full replacement value. Chronic disturbance issues may result in requiring you to take your dog to a local kennel.
